Monitoring & Evaluation – Term 2, 2024

Monitoring & Evaluation – Term 2, 2024

In Term 2 of 2024, we conducted a Monitoring & Evaluation exercise specifically focused on students under Cohort Ryan. This assessment, carried out through school visits, one-on-one student check-ins, and teacher engagements, aimed to review the academic progress, personal development, and general well-being of the students midway through the academic year. The exercise took place during regular school days to capture authentic feedback from both students and school staff.

During the visits, we reviewed student report cards, held mentorship sessions, and gathered qualitative insights from class teachers and principals. We also assessed student participation in co-curricular activities, class engagement, and behavior. Special attention was given to identifying any academic or personal challenges students might be experiencing, including stress, lack of motivation, or adjustment difficulties.

Mental health and emotional resilience remained a key focus during this term’s M&E process, with informal discussions helping us understand how students were coping. The insights gathered guided our approach to mentorship and academic support for the remainder of the year. PCF continues to use findings from such evaluations to enhance our interventions and ensure each student in Cohort Ryan receives the guidance and resources they need to thrive.
